| Company Information | AKD Softwoods has been in operation for over 50 years. The company has been active in plantation development with over 7000 Ha of radiata pine owned and managed in the South West region of Victoria. Our sawmilling division processes 400,000 m3 of sawlog per annum.
AKD is also a joint venture partner in Softwood Plantation Exporters which exports our sawmill chip as well as chip from plantation thinnings. Modern processing and remanufacturing facilities in Colac produce a wide range of pine products for the home building and renovation markets in Australia. Sructural products are MGP graded to Australian Standards and subject to independent audit. The recent addition of a finger jointing and laminating division means that we can offer a range of architectural preprimed and treated products including posts, fascia , laminated beams and mouldings sold under the InLine Pine brand. Our products are FSC certified. Our treatment division, Portland Pine Products located at Heywood , produces a range of treated pine posts for the rural ,horticultural and viticultural Industries. |
