Company Information	Auswest Timbers Pty Ltd is a rapidly growing company, operating 3 sawmills and two value adding in Western Australia, Victoria and the Australian capital Territory. Established in 1996, Auswest Timbers manufactures a diverse selection of timber products for furniture and joinery, flooring, decking, staircase componets,veneer and fence screening; to green structural products for mine, wharf, rail track construction as well as for floor joists, roofing timbers and roof tile batten. Auswest Timbers is supplied with logs harvested and sourced from sustainably managed forests. East Gippsland mixed species are supplied to Auswest timbers by the Victorian State Government's VicForests. In 2007, VicForests was awarded certification to the Australian Forestry Standard (AFS) for all it's forest management activities including planning, harvesting, haulage and regeneration. In Western Australia, the Karri forests are sustainably managed by the State Goverments agency, the Forest Products Commission, to ensure all Eucalypt hardwood forests are conserved for many years to come. The Forest Products Commission has implemented an enviromentle management system that has been certified as complying with the requirements of the international standard AS/NZS ISO 14001 and in January 2009, achieved certification to the AFS. To further assure our customers that all timber supplied from grower to manufacturer is sustainably managed, Auswest Timbers achieved Chain of Custody certification in April 2009.
