EXPAN and WoodSolutions Christchurch field trip
Architects and other building professionals are invited on a three-day trip to New Zealand to witness the major role played by timber buildings in the reconstruction of Christchurch.
Featured buildings use the latest large-span timber technology: Post-tensioned moment frames and shear walls, composite timber and concrete floors, long-span roofs, and much more.
Case studies will be presented by building designers, building owners and the researchers who developed EXPAN timber technology.
Dates: 22-24 April 2013
Cost: $200 AUD. Travel and accommodation at own expense. (Accommodation suggestions provided.)
