This Standard specifies requirements for building practice and the selection, placement and fixing of the various structural elements used in the construction of timber-framed houses or alterations and additions to such buildings. The Standard was recently revised to make technical changes, correct mistakes and clarify the application of the document. Technical changes include:
Flooring and decking changes to reflect current research and experiences
New nail and screw fixings for thick timber
Bracing capacity change to reflect the use of common timber
Amending metal tie-down connections details
