Studio Marco Vermeulen

Studio Marco Vermeulen is a design office for architecture, urban design, landscape and design research. We are located at an outer dike location alongside the river Maas in the center of Rotterdam.

Our portfolio often contains spatial and socially relevant tasks that are new or underexposed and require typological innovation and originality.

In most projects, cycles in the field of water, energy and raw materials are central. We are often involved in projects where issues such as energy transition, climate adaptation (including flood risk management), biobased economy, food (including protein transition) are linked to opportunities for spatial quality in the city and the surrounding area.

We deliberately design through the scales. Acquired insights on a larger scale come together in a spatial design on a smaller scale that catalyzes developments on a larger scale.
