Interior

Two Australian timber species, spotted gum and Victorian ash, feature harmoniously throughout the home.

Victorian ash is utilised in structural glulam beams, open shelf joinery, solid timber bench tops, windows, doors, and custom furniture and detailing throughout

Spotted gum contrasts well with its deeper hue and dramatic grain, adding a tonal and textural interplay between the two species. The spotted gum is adopted in the form of hardwood ply panels for surface treatments such as internal wall linings, floors and joinery faces, softening the acoustics of the open plan.

The metal mesh and timber staircase becomes a visual link and practical link between spaces. The two materials contrast beautifully, with the porousness of the mesh bringing attention to the weight of the raw timber.
