Overview

The furniture piece celebrates Tasmanian talent in timber, design, craft and whisky. Presented as an openable ‘barrel’, the adaptable form reconfigures to suit the size of those gathered to enjoy Tasmania’s world-class whiskies.

Expertly crafted by Vos Joinery, the piece was designed in collaboration with multi-disciplinary architecture studio Liminal Studio, and young Tasmanian design firm Van Tuil Design Studio

Freshwater Dining Table

This table responds to an existing curved building façade. The table top is finished to a narrow profile and appears to float freely from three legs. The classic components of traditional timber-turning verge on decorative but are simplified by their precise lines and repetition.
