Prefrabrication saves time and money for Australand
Australand's The Green Parkville is on the site of the former 2006 Commonwealth Games Village and part of a master planned development.
The first five storey timber framed residential building in Australia, The Green comprises 57 units and some 5100 square metres of apartment space.
Prefabricated parts included; timber floor cassettes, wall panels and roof trusses.
Cost savings were estimated to be in the order of 25%.
