Meet the speakers 

Andrew Dunn is the Chief Executive of the TDA and has 28 years experience in the building industry, the last 22 years within the timber sector. Andrew has a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a Masters of Timber Engineering and represents the industry on Australian Standards including Timber Framing, Bushfire, Termites control, Design Loads, Fire testing, Plasterboard installation, and Earth Retaining Structures. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of timber’s structural application including fire and sound timber framed technology related to Multi-Residential Timber Frame Construction. 

Stephen Mitchell joined the TDA in 2006 and has managed and delivered a variety of projects including Life Cycle Assessment and technical education for building and design professionals, TAFE teachers, University lecturers and timber merchants. Before this Stephen worked for the NSW Government on waste reduction and recycling projects in the construction sector. Stephen is a qualified trainer, experienced presenter and a Sustainability Professional with a Masters in Environmental Management from the University of New South Wales.
