Timber Engineers Take on 123km Run for Multiple Sclerosis Research

In a remarkable display of determination, two of Australia's most esteemed timber engineering educators, Lisa Ottenhaus and Jon Shanks, are gearing up for an extraordinary challenge this September. They are set to tackle a 123km non-stop run along the iconic Cape-to-Cape Great Walk in Western Australia. However, their mission goes beyond personal accomplishment; they aim to raise vital funds for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research.

As passionate advocates for the cause, they understand the urgent need for increased funding to advance research, improve treatments, and ultimately find a cure for this neurological disease.

The Cape-to-Cape Great Walk, known for its breathtaking coastal scenery and challenging terrain, serves as the backdrop for their remarkable feat. Overcoming rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and dense forests, Lisa and Jon's run will push their physical and mental limits to the extreme. Each step they take will symbolize hope, resilience, and the power of collective action against MS.

Their goal extends far beyond the finish line. Lisa and Jon are calling upon their community to join them in raising funds for this close to home cause.
