Helliwell + Smith, Blue Sky Architecture

Balanced on the spine of a rocky ridge, the 300 square metre linear house threads through a grove of strawberry trees. At the entrance, the beautifully timbered roof form is a common gable. All rooms are accessed off a central hallway.

The development objectives were to create a beach community based on sustainable design principles, where each home visually engages with the ocean, has generous outdoor living room, and a sense of community through density, building relationships.
