Combined actions - worked example

While many members are designed to resist a single action such as bending, tension or compression, there are many cases in which members are subjected to combined actions, where actions occur simultaneously.

This section contains a worked example which looks at the capacity of a 190 × 35 MGP12 truss bottom chord to be used in a nail plate connected truss for a neighbourhood shopping centre :
