Western Australia Chapter Conference 2023
The Western Australia Chapter Conference will be held on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 May at Crown Perth.

In conjunction with the Western Australia Chapter Conference, AIBS will host the WA Chapter Dinner and Recognition of Professional Awards on the evening of Thursday 11 May. Comedy hypnotist, Matt Hale will be providing entertainment for this special event. Matt has hypnotised people from London to Japan and his work on Australian radio has won him three comedy awards. A combination of fun and learning, Matt will be a unique experience for all to witness.
Speaking on behalf of WoodSolutions is Dr Geoff Boughton
Geoff has a PhD in Structural Engineering at the Cyclone Testing Station, James Cook University and is a member of the Australasian Wind Engineering Society. He works as a structural research engineer with the Cyclone Testing Station and has been involved in teams that have investigated damage following extreme wind events. He has worked on many projects in Australia and the Pacific to evaluate and improve resilience in buildings. He is a member of several Australian Standards Committees including the committees for the wind loadings standards, AS/NZS 1170.2 and AS 4055.
