The third webinar of this AS1684 series will focus on the key requirements for Tie-downs and Connections in residential homes as per AS1684 and will be delivered Mr Tim Rossiter, MiTek’s General Manager Building Solutions Asia Pacific, and one of industry’s most knowledgeable and experienced timber engineers.
Tim will provide a guided walk through the path to ensure correct Tie-Downs in accordance with AS1684. That path extends from load determination to selection of the appropriate connection fixed in the appropriate manner. Included will be some practical guidance about interpreting “engineer-speak” to assist visualisation given how wind loading is an occasional load event.
