Description

It is well accepted today that building solutions incorporating mass timber products present many benefits in assisting to combat climate change. Mass timber is also the perfect product for offsite prefabricated systems solutions, using design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA) approaches, providing highly time and cost-effective solutions during construction.

DfMA though needs to be understood and done correctly, particularly when it comes to connection design and detailing. Designs need to be optimised to use material efficiently, minimize production time, optimize freight, enhance assembly times on site, improve safety in design and ultimately reduce costs. Correct optimization is critical to achieving competitive and viable timber solutions and a successful project outcome. A clear understanding of supplier standard sizes and production capabilities – primarily CNC machining – will facilitate effective and efficient design outcomes employing DfMA principles

Join us for this webinar and learn ‘what you need to know’ from the experts who use DfMA an CNC technologies every day to produce these amazing new mass timber building components.
