WoodSolutions Mid-rise Seminar (QLD) - 25th November 2019

PAST EVENT

The pace of change in timber technology, manufacture and construction globally is staggering. Timber, the material which dominates Australia’s residential framed construction, is now firmly embedding itself in the mid-rise construction market; the 2019 NCC has also now expanded the mid-rise timber Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions to all classes of building - opening up even more new market opportunity.

To meet these emerging opportunities new innovations are needed in manufacture, supply, design and construction. In a comprehensive and structured half-day seminar, leading timber industry and building professional experts will present the latest knowledge and innovations, covering the wide range of timber building system solutions now available, across all building classes, including: lightweight timber-framing, heavy timber Glulam post and beam, and massive timber panels such as LVL or Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and the existing and evolving new methods of off-site manufacture, prefabrication and supply.

Exciting case study examples of recent and upcoming mid-rise timber projects will be presented, by the actual key project personnel – a unique opportunity to hear about these projects from those directly involved and to ask them your detailed practical questions.

This event is a must for all building and design professionals including architects, building designers, engineers, certifiers, developers, builders, regulators, educators and students.
