The feature timber boardwalk weaves through the existing trees, outdoor dining facilities, a community garden, active play zones and seating areas.

This project delivers a contemporary fitout on a very reasonable budget by utilising readily available, commonplace materials. Curved elements provide a unique visual effect through the use of 2,000 individually laid timber dowels.

Bendigo Hospital is the 2017 winner of the Australian Timber Design Awards, Interior Fitout (Commercial) category. The project demonstrates how the selection of natural materials such as timber can increase the wellbeing and comfort of visitors, patients and staff.
